Secondary School Dr. Augusto César da Silva Ferreira is located in Rio Maior, a small town 80 kms north from Lisbon. We are inserted in a district where economic activities are varied: agriculture and pig-farming, services and some industries. Our town is known as “the city of sport” because of the various sport facilities it offers to national and international teams.  In what concerns our school, it has about 120 teachers and technicians, 1050 students and 28 administrative and assistant members. Besides having secondary classes, our school also has 6 classes with students from 7th, 8th and 9th form, vocational classes, evening classes (including lessons of Portuguese for foreigners) and we also teach in 2 prisons nearby.
