Trans European Water Sustainability
1st activity (September 2019):
In September 2019 students of the 5th Lyceum asked from their schoolmates to be involved for the supply of recycled materials, in order to create a model of a beach ashtray. The students processed the material to be recycled in the school lab with the help of the biology teacher, Mr. Asikidis Michalis.
2st activity
2nd activity (October 2019)
Members of the greek team gathered as many schoolmates as possible to help to clean a river bank. They visited altogether the river Haliakmon and collected and removed garbage from the riverbank. After that, they placed dust bins and informed other people about river pollution.
3rd activity (October 2019)
In October 2019 three teachers, Mr. Asikidis Michalis, Mrs. Karagianni Franga and Mrs. Thymiopoulou Christina, and students from the 5th Lyceum of Veria visited a local radio station and took part to a live radio program. They talked about the project generally, the Trans European Water Sustainability, and specifically about water pollution and the uses of water and answered questions about it.

6th activity ( December 2019)
In December 2019 the 5th Lyceum of Veria made a teleconference via Skype with the Turkish school, in order to ask for details about a Turkish myth and to give information about a greek myth. The greek students took the answers they needed from the turkish students, so that they were able to work and present the Turkish myth with a power point project.
7th activity (January 2020)
In January 2020 the students of the 5th Lyceum of Veria visited the rivers Tripotamos and Haliakmon and the water supply network of Veria and took water samples in order to analyse them later in the chemistry lab with their biology and chemistry teachers, Mr. Asikidis Michalis and Mrs. Raftopoulou Katerina.
8th activity (January 2020)
In January 2020 students from the 5th Lyceum of Veria visited the sightseeing of Veria, took photos and selected information about them in order to create a brochure. They also prepared their own guide tour for the European partners, that would take place in February, in the week of the mobility in Greece.

11th activity (February 2020)
In February 2020 teachers and students from the 5th Lyceum of Veria visited a hydroelectric power station of the area as an example of industry that uses water resources and improves local economy. After that they visited the thermal power plant in Ptolemaida, which uses lignite to produce energy. The students made a comparative analysis between the ‘’blue’’ industry and the similar ‘’non-blue’’ one and presented the results to the school.
