5th Lyceum, Veria

• is one of the biggest Lyceum in Veria.

• it has 300 students and 25 teachers.

• there are three grades in our school.

• students of the 3rd grade sit for university entrance exams in June.

• it is well equipped, with a large library

• and a lot of laboratories

• 90 % of the students succeed in the panhellenic exams and get a place in a university faculty.

• it runs a lot of enironmental projects to make us more sensitive to the environment protection.

• there is a theatrical group and a music band to develop our talents

• we have the opportunity to take part in European projects such as Comenius, Erasmus, etwinning, so we make friends from Europe and we learn to cooperate

• we have participated in European youth Parliament

• we have got four distinctions in Food4you European competition organized by Italy

• school has been awarded with 3 European etwinning prizes in science projects and 3 national etwinning prize

• school sports teams are ones of the best inImathia prefecture.

• there are students talented in writing poets and literature , in graphics design

• there are activities against racism

• activities for refugees

• and, with sensitivity and love, common activities withthe nearby school students who have special needs
